An empty day waits for life
And leaves fallen
The streets are dry
Where men burn the time
With hand-rolled cigarettes
Smoking as the ladies walk by

The crystals hang
Clean on sheets of ice
Crying in the cold
Dripping on white coating
Frozen under the sky

I walk away brittle
Why do I even try?
Sharp and faded
Like a cracked clock
Ticking away into the night

Looming in the distance
Two cliffs become hard to see
Before you broke the middle gap
With your clipper, gaping like the sea
Waiting to rest on waves at crest
You wonder and wander your gaze
To the treasure in the reflections
Making a home in the shade
Now your glued to the sand
While your lover floats out in water
You are stuck treading land
So you send her out your shadow
In hopes of bonding your curves
In darkness once again
